Sometime in the month of May 2020, I took part in an online conference and I heard what I would liken to the turning-on of a light bulb. The speaker said the following, “every attempt to go up, is a declaration of war against gravity.” Those words had a profound effect on me. They have become priceless to me afterward. Peradventure you do not understand what gravity is, what it does, nor why those words impacted me differently then lets have a walk together.
Gravity
“In physics, gravity is the natural force that causes things to fall toward the earth.” Or “the force that attracts a body towards the centre of the earth, or towards any other physical body having mass.”
Gravity is a force put in nature by the Almighty God to ensure things on earth remain on earth. It ensures you can walk without having to float in the air like what is obtainable in outer space where gravity is zero. In every sense, the force of gravity is an awesome phenomenon.
However, the force of gravity is only helpful when you want to remain on the ground; but we all know the ground is already crowded whereas the air is vacant and free.
For a long time, scientists thought of the possibility of conquering gravity, and soaring into the skies. Research upon research were conducted until the great discovery of the force of lift. Read this:
“In order for an aircraft to rise into the air, a force must be created that equals or exceeds the force of gravity”

After the discovery of this force equally put in nature by God, it became possible to travel to outer space. Such an amazing feat accomplished by man. The Wright Brothers flew the first successful aircraft. Read this as well:

Why have I said this?
The slowest aircraft will beat the fastest car moving on the ground. It is faster to get to your destination on a flight when compared to a long drive. There are places that cars will never be able to get to.
For man to fly, the force of gravity had to be conquered by the force of lift. It is a battle of forces.
This applies directly to every other area of life. If you must go up whether in career, business, ministry, academics etc., you will without fail do battle against the forces of gravity in your field. You must overcome not just the physical forces of gravity but the spiritual forces of gravity as well because the Bible clearly says:
"For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)
We are contending against spiritual forces of evil, and they reside in the heavenly realm. Their place of residence gives them an automatic advantage over any man on the ground save those who have mastered how to break through demonic clouds through the weapon of fervent prayers.
Good news!
Glory be to God there is a way made for us to overcome these forces that oppose our rising to the heights God had planned for us. We find it in the book of Isaiah 40:31
"But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint."
This scripture is amazing. God has kept another force by which we can SOAR like the eagle. It’s the force of waiting on the Lord. Whoever neglects this force will forever be kept grounded by these spiritual evil forces.
God gives us assurance that as we stay in His presence, we will build sufficient strength to soar on wings like the eagle. I therefore encourage you not to allow your dreams of rising to greatness remain unrealized by forces beyond your sphere of residence. You are admonished from God's Word to spend quality time in God's presence through consistent prayers, praises and worship. Remember that waiting on someone will place a demand on your time. Therefore, do not be in a haste when you approach the Monarch of the entire universe, but be rest assured He hears and will answer you. God bless you.
